Exciting new PebbleGo news! #resvt

PebbleGo has been a favorite of both students and teachers for a while.  But now it's even better!  PebbleGo has enhanced their Animals & Science databases by adding two eBooks about each topic to the "Read More" tab.  These are capstone publisher's non-fiction books that are often well written and engaging for young learners. And since they are eBooks, they have text to speech capabilities to help all learners extend their learning.   This is going to be great when students are doing their non-fiction writing units or just want to learn more about a curiosity.   The library now subscribes to all of the databases:  Animals, Science, Biography, Social Studies, & Dinosaurs.  But wait, there's more!  The library also now subscribes to PebbleGO Next!  This is a database geared towards 3rd-5th graders on topics American Indians, States, Science, Social Studies, and Biographies!  If using these resources from schoo...

Introducing...  with Our library is now offering access to a wide selection of eBooks and audiobooks through Overdrive.  It is the Vermont Schools Shared Digital Collection.  There are a range of books on this collection ranging from picture books, to easy readers, to graphic novels, to chapter books.  There are even some books that are a combination of eBook and audiobook called Read Alongs!    To access this resource, go to the library webpage:   https://res.opalsinfo.net/bin/home .  Click the link to overdrive.  Select "Mount Mansfield Unified Union School District."  Then your student will need to login with their school Google account (firstname.lastname@mmuusd.org).  The book selection available is based on age so your student will only see the books that are appropriate for their grade range. Announcing the Vermont Book Award Winners!! #resvt

I am so happy to announce the Vermont State winners of our book awards.  It was interesting to see the results against how our school voted, so I will put those results side by side.  The winner of the Red Clover Award is...
